Many studies have confirmed that the most important factor in the mental health of children and adolescents is the quality of the relationship with their parents/caregivers. Nadja Rolli, a CPC member, has written a paper about how a mental illness - specifically psychosis - impacts the mental health of her children. The paper focuses on the current theoretical and clinical understanding how the state of mind of a mother influences the attachment behaviour and self-regulation abilities of the child.
